A Style Guide is a document created specifically for your company outlining spelling and grammar rules regularly used in your marketing messages. It is a quick reference for you and your employees to look at when writing content. It helps ensure consistency throughout your promotional materials.
What goes into a Style Guide?
A Style Guide includes terms that are frequently used in your marketing content, including spelling, acronyms, abbreviations and grammar rules.
How do you determine what goes into a Style Guide?
When reviewing your company’s messages, I look for reoccurring terms, acronyms, abbreviations and grammar rules. Those reoccurring items are added to your guide. Your guide can be updated as your company grows and its messages change.
How far in advance do I need to send you my blog content?
I will work with you to create a timeline that meets your publication schedule. Ideally, I would like to receive your content a minimum of three weeks before the first blog is scheduled to publish. This gives me time to edit your blogs without rushing through them. It gives me time to make sure they shine and get them back to you for approval before being posted.
Do I need to send you all of my blogs for one month, or can I send you one each week?
I’d like to receive all of your blogs for the month at once. This allows me to review and edit your content while meeting your publication schedule. Additionally, having all of the blogs together helps me ensure your company’s message is consistent in each one.
What if I publish more blogs (or fewer blogs) each month?
Let’s talk. I can customize the program to meet your needs. I will work with you based on the number of blogs you write each month or the length of your blogs if they are longer than 700 words.
